Theresa (Wheeling) Legg, 61, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, Oct. 21, 2021 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Cremation rites were accorded and a private family burial will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Legg was born July 28, 1960, in Phoenix, AZ, to Richard Max and Virginia Marie (Finley) Wheeling. She was a 1978 Graduate of Nokomis High School, and worked as a CNA at Montgomery Nursing and Rehab in Taylor Springs. She married Charles Legg on June 21, 2003, and he survives. She was a past member of the Fillmore Methodist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two step children, Chas (Marla) Legg of Greenville and Mike (Ashley) Huff of Greenville; four grandchildren, Christopher, Andrew, Bradley and Heidi; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Funk of Litchfield, Kimberly Brooks of St. Louis, Thomas Wheeling of St. Louis, Jessica, Gary and Robert Williams; great-nieces and nephews, Megan Voyles, John Funk, Zachary Funk, Veronica Brooks, Caydon Wheeling, Addalyn Wheeling and Lakyn Wheeling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; twin sister Clarissa (Wheeling) Choate; two brothers, Robert and Thomas Wheeling; and one great-nephew, Grayson Wheeling.
