Shop Hillsboro, a Farmers Market and the Hillsboro Summer Concert series all came together in downtown Hillsboro on Saturday for a terrific day of shopping and entertainment.
The Farmers Markets will be held at regular hours, 9 a.m. to noon, for the remainder of the season.
Shoppers took to Main Street Hillsboro on Saturday, July 17, during the Shop Hillsboro Rock the Block event. Shop owners saw a steady stream of traffic throughout the day and into the evening–drawn to the downtown area by the Hillsboro Concert Series music festival on Wood Street and the Farmers Market on Lincoln Plaza. Those who made purchases during the promotional event are reminded to email a copy or picture of their receipts to firstname.lastname@example.org or drop it off at The Journal-News office by 5 p.m. Friday, July 23, for a chance to win $50 in Chamber Bucks.
The monthly shopping events are a collaboration of Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce, Imagine Hillsboro and The
Journal-News. Upcoming events include a Moonlight Madness event with downtown bed races in August, a pirate-themed event in September, and an adult trick-or-treat event in October.
