Tena Lynn Schmidt, 60, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, July 13, 2021, at 12:06 a.m. HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 19, from 11 to 11:30 a.m. at World Harvest Church in Hillsboro. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the church with the Rev. Kenny Vallelonga, pastor of World Harvest Church in Hillsboro, officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Schmidt was born July 25, 1960, in Hillsboro, the daughter of Tom Bourke and Ruby Milligan. She married Michael Schmidt, and he preceded her in death.
A lifelong resident, she attended Hillsboro High School, and was a CNA and activity director at Heritage Health and Aperion Health, both in Litchfield. She was a member of World Harvest Church in Hillsboro.
She is survived by her children, Diana (husband Aaron) Logan of Hillsboro and Kimberly (husband Jason) Wilson of Litchfield; eight grandchildren, Isaac Schmidt, Bryson Schmidt, Deanna Logan, Colin Logan, Michael Foster, Jordan Foster, Brayden Foster and J.J. Wilson; and siblings, Sandy (husband Charles) Jeffers of Hillsboro, Tammy Bourke (companion Chris Kean) and Theresa (husband Randy) Boerckel, all of Litchfield, Pete (wife Mitsue) Smith of Oklahoma, and Jim Schmidt.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
