The Taylor Springs Police Department is asking residents to keep their vehicle locked after a string of break-ins reported on Monday, Feb. 17.
The first occurred at about 11:30 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, on East Street and was discovered the next morning when the vehicle owner found the glove box of the unlocked car open and several items thrown about.
In a second East Street vehicle break-in, a child’s purse was stolen with earphones inside. A third vehicle was entered on Spring Street.
“We are asking everyone to please keep their car doors locked, along with outbuildings, to help us protect property,” Chief Warren Hall said.
