Taxes: When Is Enough Enough?

Illinois has on the ballot a so-called Fair Tax.

Let’s review some of the facts: Property taxes–Illinois’ rate ranks as one of the highest.  The average Illinois taxpayer pays higher taxes than the average taxpayer of any other state in the Midwest.

The state has added or increased the following to create revenues: lottery, casinos, video gaming, state gas tax, cigarette tax, fines for use of electronic devices, license fees, registration fees, electric vehicle fees, parking garage and lot fees, legalized marijuana, raised income tax rate twice.

And guess what? We still cannot pay our bills.  Has anyone ever thought of spending cuts? How can anyone consider a tax increase with the current economic climate?

Please join me and other concerned citizens to defeat the bad idea of the Fair Tax
