Stephen Donald Davis, 57, of Pocahontas, died at 12:04 a.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Highland.
Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 18, at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with Rev. Randy Sands, Pastor of Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro officiating. Burial will be held at Ware’s Grove Cemetery in Butler. A meal will follow burial at Free Methodist Church in Hillsboro.
Mr. Davis was born on July 28, 1965, in Hillsboro, to Donald Earl Davis, who survives in Glen Carbon, and Beverley Beatrice (Bowman) Davis, who preceded on Nov. 22, 2021. He married Crista McLean on Nov. 6, 1993, at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Staunton, and she survives in Pocahontas.
Mr. Davis was a Hillsboro High School graduate, Class of 1983, and went on to attend Florissant Valley Community College, where he attained his electrician certification. Mr. Davis had worked as a Carman at Norfolk Southern Railroad. He was a member of the Grantfork Volunteer Fire Department, and he attended Mosaic Church in Highland.
In addition to his wife and father, Mr. Davis is survived by his daughters, Emily Davis and Jessica Davis; siblings, Terri (husband Don) Satterlee, Jr., of Marine, Jayne (husband Alan) Crews of Glen Carbon and Michael (wife Billie) Davis of Fillmore; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Beverley Beatrice (Bowman) Davis.
