The carnival games have been missing this summer due to COVID-19, but the Litchfield Sportman’s Club had their own version of the midway classics on Sunday, Aug. 23.
At the club’s fun shoot, held every fourth Sunday of the month, shooters got the chance to take aim at some clowns (literally) and rack up points.
The shooters would take 30 shots in each round, with 3,000 possible points per round. Don Bilyeu woud win round one with 2,000 points, while Jeff Bradley won rounds two and three with 2,300 and 2,900 points respectively. Larry VanMiddendorp would take first in the fourth and final round, with 2,300 points.
In addition to their regular Thursday trap shoot, which start at 6:30 p.m., the next event at the Litchfield Sportsman’s Club will be an Aspirin shoot on Sunday, Sept. 13, from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
More information on the club be found on the Litchfield Sportsman’s Club Facebook page. The club is also working on a donation to the Montgomery County Cancer Association, with donations being collected from members at the next Litchfield Sportsman's Club meeting on Monday, Sept. 14.
