The Nokomis volleyball team picked up their second win of the season on Tuesday, March 23, with a two-game victory over the Minutemaids of Bunker Hill.
The Redskins rolled the visitors 25-12 in game one, then sewed up the victory with a 25-19 performance in game two.
Junior Presley Lamb performed like a lion for Nokomis, leading the team in points (seven), aces (four) and assists (seven). Skylar Stewart also had a big game serving for the Redskins, posting six points and four aces, while Kristen Stauder (six), Delaney Keiser (five) and Alex Pavolka (four) also contributed points.
On the attack, Olivia Taylor led a balanced group of hitters with four kills, while Stauder, Stewart and Audrey Sabol had three kills each. Mia Fesser added two kills and had five assists in the game.
Defensively, Fesser and Stewart combined for five blocks, while Keiser and Stauder patrolled the back line and posted 14 and 11 digs respectively.
Nokomis, who played March 24, in Palmyra against Greenfield-Northwestern, will take on Father McGivney at home on Thursday, March 25, at 6 p.m.
