Shirley Mae Patricia Davis, 89 of Litchfield, died Thursday morning, Sept. 5, 2024, at her residence.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 12, at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. There will be no visitation. Litchfield Family Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Davis was born Jan. 12, 1935, in St. Louis, MO, a daughter of the late John and Myrtle Marie Stillford Grewe. She married Raymond A. Davis in Chicago in 1954.
Mrs. Davis was a homemaker raising her sons in Chicago. After moving to Litchfield, she was active in running the Moose kitchen and helping with bingo.
She enjoyed her flowers and lawn work, keeping her home looking pristine.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, granddaughter, Jade Davis and brother, John Grewe.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her sons, George (Deborah) Davis of Springfield and John (Jamie) Davis of Merrillville, IN; granddaughter, Amber; three great-grandchildren, Abbey, Miklo and Aubrey; and brother, David (Ellen) Grewe of St. Peters, MO.
