Sharon Kay Hainaut, 69

Sharon Kay Hainaut, 69, of rural New Douglas, died on Friday, Dec. 3, 2021 at her home.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 8, at the Lesicko Funeral Home, located at 271 N 2nd Street in Livingston. Memorial services will start at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with Mrs. Hainaut’s brother, the Rev. Rodney Leetham officiating. Cremation rites were accorded. Lesicko Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Hainaut was born on Sunday, June 15, 1952, in Litchfield, the daughter of John Robert and Mildred Marie (Brakhand) Leetham. She married Edward W. Hainaut on March 28, 2015, at the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston.

Mrs. Hainaut worked, loved to travel and was very proud of being an Airline Stewardess for ten years with TWA (Trans World Airlines). She also worked as a travel agent, in real estate and was a phone operator and clerk for the First National Bank of Staunton.  She retired in 2018 and spent some quality time with her husband and family.

Mrs. Hainaut had attended the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Livingston and the Zion Lutheran Church in Staunton. She very much enjoyed the movie theater and would sometimes stay for two shows in one day. Mrs. Hainaut was introduced to camping by her husband and very much loved to travel in their RV.  She really enjoyed the Christmas season, with all the decorations and Christmas tree.

Mrs. Hainaut is survived by her husband; granddaughter, who she treated like a daughter, Brianna Hainaut;  stepson, Edward (Lori) Hainaut; stepdaughter, Nikki (Victor) Lopez;  step-grandchildren; Ben and Zack; sisters, Debbie (Jerry) Prosser and Karen Burdell; brothers, Robert (partner, Brad) Leetham, Roger (Dawn) Leetham and Rodney (Cynthia) Leetham; sister-in-law, Odette (Hal) Henschen; and aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
