Saathoff Battles Pro Riders

Fresh off of his Horizon Award and four wins at the AMA Grand Championships in DuQuoin, Hillsboro racer Chase Saathoff was back in action on Wednesday, July 28, at the Champaign County Fair.

Racing on the half-mile in Urbana, Saathoff won two of the three races he competed in, taking victories in the 450 amateur and 250-Open Singles races. In the third race, the Pro/Am, he took third behind two pros, Trevor Bruner and Dallas Daniels, who won Horizon Awards in 2019 and 2018 respectively.

After a few days off for rest, relaxation and training, Saathoff hit the short track at the Lamoine Ramblers Motorcycle Club for four more races. The soon-to-be sophomore at Hillsboro High School would win all four, taking first in the Open Pro/Am, the Open Amateur, the 450cc Amateur and the Dash for Cash.
