Russell N. Reindl, 92, of Nokomis, died on Sunday, March 7, 2021, at 8:55 p.m. at his residence.

Visitation will be held Friday, March 12, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Shafer-Perfetti and Assalley Funeral Home in Taylorville. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 13, beginning at 10 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Bill Cox officiating. Interment with military honors will be held at Edinburg Cemetery.

Mr. Reindl was born June 28, 1928, in Mt. Auburn, to Roy and Hallie (Pumphrey) Reindl. He married Mary Daugherty, and they later divorced. He then married Isabelle I. Miller, and she preceded him in death on March 6, 1983.

He proudly served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and one of his proudest moments was being able to participate in the Land of Lincoln Honor Flight commemorating his service.

Following his honorable discharge, Mr. Reindl worked for Allis Chalmers before spending decades in the television service industry. He began working for Springfield T.V. Service before retiring from his own business, Reindl T.V. Service, after 43 years.

He was a longtime member of the Christian Church of Witt. In his free time, he enjoyed remodeling homes for family and friends, as well as resale.

Mr. Reindl is survived by his son, Stephen (wife Tammy) Reindl of Taylorville; three grandchildren, Mary Henderson of Champaign, and Reeves and Rogan Reindl, both of Taylorville; great-granddaughter, Stella Henderson; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; son, Randy Lee Reindl; and all 11 of his siblings.
