Rowena Huddleston, 87, of Nokomis, died on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, June 16, from 1 to 2 p.m. at McCracken-Dean Funeral Home in Pana. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Michael Lawton officiating. Burial will be held in Mound Cemetery in Pana.

Mrs. Huddleston was born June 6, 1933, in rural Tower Hill, to William and Edna (Nihiser) Ukena. She married Rodell Huddleston in 1950, in Arkansas, and he preceded her in death in 2002.

She graduated from Pana High School with the class of 1950. She went on to work at Mallory’s, then Ronk Electric in Nokomis for 28 years. Later in life, she enjoyed doing food demonstrations at the Pana Walmart.

Mrs. Huddleston was a member of the United Methodist Church in Witt, where she was an active member of the Methodist Women. She enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing Bingo and most importantly, spending time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Larry (Brenda) Huddleston of Nokomis, Terry (significant other Susan Cooley) Huddleston of Ramsey, Jerry (Bonnie) Huddleston of Decatur, Rick (Denise) Huddleston of Oconee and Vicky Gingras of Brandon, FL; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Huddleston was preceded in death by her parents; and special uncle, Joseph Ukena.

Memorials may be directed to Mound Cemetery Association in Pana and will be accepted by McCracken-Dean Funeral Home.
