Rosemary (Cress) Osborn, 88, of Liberty Lake, WA, died on Monday, Feb. 1, 2021, with her daughters at her side. 

An informal graveside memorial will be held Friday, Aug. 6, beginning at 11 a.m. at Cress Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. A potluck lunch will follow, from 12 to 3 p.m. at the old Hillsboro Lake Fourth of July pavilion. All family and friends are invited with the families of Rosemary, Mary Jane Ondrey, Judy Osborn Jenkins and Lisa Osborn Wilson. Bass Patton Funeral Home in Hillsboro assisted the family.

Mrs. Osborn was born April 10, 1932, in Hillsboro, the 12th child of George Leo and Rosa Belle (Hicks) Cress. She was raised by her aunt and uncle, Ed and Hazel (Hicks) Dammann, from the age of five days old, after her mother passed away from pneumonia.

She married Lane Ware Osborn, on May 27, 1950, in Metropolis, the day after her graduation from Hillsboro High School. They lived in the Hillsboro area until moving to Coeur d’Alene, ID, in 1985. Mrs. Osborn moved into Guardian Angel Homes assisted living complex in Liberty Lake, WA, in April of 2015. Over the years, she worked as a bookkeeper for Hillsboro Lumber, Montgomery County Courthouse, the Farm Bureau, Lane’s Flying Service in Hillsboro and Goodwill in Coeur d’Alene.

Mrs. Osborn is survived by her three daughters, Mary Jane (Dave) Ondrey of Eufaula, AL, Judy Blane (Randy) Jenkins of Post Falls, ID, and Lisa Marie (Randy) Wilson of Colbert, WA; eight grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and all 11 siblings, the most recent being Opal (Cress) Klepper in 2017.
