Roger D. Quarton, 66, of Findlay, died on Friday, March 17, 2023, at 10:35 a.m. at Hallmark Healthcare in Carlinville.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 21, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kravanya Funeral Home in Gillespie. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, March 22, beginning at 10 a.m. at First Christian Church in Gillespie. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Palmyra.
Mr. Quarton was born Jan. 15, 1957, in Carlinville, to Donald Lee and Carolyn (Rees) Quarton.
He graduated from Lincoln Christian College with a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree. He was a missionary and later a minister at Westervelt Christian Church.
Mr. Quarton is survived by his children, Ryan D. (fiancee Teela Spoor) Quarton of Litchfield, Colin T. (Loni) Quarton of Parsons, KS, Eric B. (Shani) Quarton of Flora and Caitlin J. (Olgert) Refatllari of Dixon; eight grandchildren; siblings, Caryn (Steve) Collins of Fort Worth, TX, Ella May (Art) Roemer of Gillespie, Barbara (Dale) Drennan of Monticello, Donna (Randy) McLeese of Palmyra and Dr. Brian (Lori) Quarton of Litchfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
