Roberto Garcia, 78, of Hillsboro, died on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at 12:28 a.m. at Memorial Health in Springfield.
Visitation was held on Saturday, Sept. 28 and Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 30, at St. Agnes Catholic Church in Hillsboro. Father Daniel Willenborg will be officiating.
Mr. Garcia was born on Nov. 26, 1945, to Carolta and Natividad Garcia. He married Maria Torres Blanco Garcia. He lived in Jalisco, Mexico and Hillsboro. He owned and operated a liquor store.
Mr. Garcia is survived by his children, Roberto Garcia, Mario Garcia, Carlos Garcia, Lupita Garcia, Marco Garcia, Sandra Garcia and Eddie Garcia; 14 grandchildren; brothers Reuben and Alfonso Garcia.
He was preceded in death by his parents; Ramon Garcia, Refugia Garcia, Beniano Garcia, Manuel Garcia and Ignacia Garcia.
