Robert W. Kirkwood, 61, of Bunker Hill, died at 6:17 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020, at Alton Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at noon on Saturday, July 11, at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Bunker Hill. Kravanya Funeral Home in Bunker Hill is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Kirkwood was born on Nov. 21, 1958, in Litchfield, to George Raymond and Doris (Goodwin) Kirkwood. He was a truck driver for Estes Trucking in Eureka, MO.
Mr. Kirkwood worked at Aladdin Steel in Gillespie, for over 25 years. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on cars, camping, fishing and spending time with his grandkids.
Mr. Kirkwood is survived by his mother; children, Brandi (John) Miles of Bunker Hill, Heather Kirkwood of Litchfield, Bobbi (John) Fisher of Hillsboro and Christopher Kirkwood of Bethalto; grandchildren, Cristine Gaither, Evan Miles, Whyatt Knezik, Aiden Miles, Ethan Miles, Chase Hartman, Bryce Hartman, Johnny Fisher, Keeyannah Hammack, Dessa Hammack, Alexandria Hammack, Adalynn Bartholomew and Bella Hammack; great-grandchildren, Brentley Miles and Aria Hornbeck; siblings, Carol (Leonard) Brave of Alhambra, Lori (Dave) Ritter of Carlock, Amy (Jonathan) Hess of Bethalto and Jeffrey (Tracie) Kirkwood of Dorchester; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father.
