Robert Lee Hollers, 91, of Litchfield, died on Friday, Jan. 15, 2021, at 8:05 a.m. at SSM St. Clare Hospital in Fenton, MO.

Visitation will be held Sunday, Jan. 24, from 1 to 2 p.m. at Litchfield Family Funeral Service. Graveside services will follow, beginning at 2:30 p.m. at Cedar Ridge Cemetery in Honey Bend with Pastor Rudy Elam officiating. Guidelines set forth by the CDC will be adhered, including social distancing and masks. 

Mr. Hollers was born July 12, 1929, in Burnside, KY, to Charles and Josie (Pruitt) Hollers. He married Patricia JoAnn Dyer on July 2, 1966, in Rock Falls, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 14, 2019.

He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army, serving with the 101st Airborne Division during the Korean War. He was a member of the VFW and Amvets, both in Litchfield.

Mr. Hollers was a welder by trade and worked at Wikomi Manufacturing Company in Litchfield for several years. He was a devout Chicago Cubs baseball fan and enjoyed playing Bingo, poker and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sons, Marvin Hollers of Benld and Robert (James Rutherford) Hollers, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI; daughters, Susan “Debbie” (Nate) Diegler of Clearwater, FL, Bobbie Hollers of Gillespie and Connie Hollers of Palm Coast, FL; 13 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Mr. Hollers was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheryl Hollers; brothers, Frankie, Charles Jr., John and Michael “Mike”; and sisters, Helen “Opie”, Betty, Dorothy, Frieda and Edith.
