Robert D. Bruhn, 71, of rural Bunker Hill, died at 7:50 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 26, 2022, at his residence near Bunker Hill. 

No services are scheduled. Williamson Funeral Home in Staunton is assisting the family. Mr. Bruhn was born on July 25, 1951, in Litchfield, the son of the late Harry E. and Velma (Pike) Bruhn. He married Vickie Ann Hundley on March 6, 1973, in Granite City.

Mr. Bruhn was a coal miner at Monteray #2 Coal Mine in Albers for over 20 years. He has been a member of the United Mine Workers Association #2295 since 1978. He was also a member of Worden Christian Church, Staunton Masonic Lodge #177 AF and AM. Mr. Bruhn was a past member of the New Douglas Masonic Lodge #560, a master mason for 33 years and a member of the Scottish Rite and Shriners for 34 years. He enjoyed being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In his spare time, he liked hunting, fishing and trapping.

Mr. Bruhn is survived by his wife, Vickie Ann Bruhn;  three children, Robert (Vicki) Bruhn, Brandie (Brad) Wagoner and Curtis Bruhn; eight grandchildren, Samantha Worthen, Katlyn (Nathan) Hopper, Alyssa (Drake) Lineback, Blake Bruhn, Brandon Wagoner, Zachary Wagoner, Kristin Wagoner and Eli Wagoner; three great-grandchildren, Paisley and Paxton Hopper, and Knox Lineback; his twin brother, Raymond (Claudia) Bruhn; four other siblings, Larry (Jocelyn) Bruhn, Jayne (Ron) Badtke, David Bruhn and Alan Bruhn;  and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one son, Aaron Bruhn;  father, Harry E. Bruhn; mother, Velma Bruhn; stepmother, Mae Bruhn; and a sister-in-law, Patty Bruhn.
