Rex F. Trader, 67

Rex Floyd Trader, 67, of Hillsboro, died on Sunday, Oct. 16, 2022, at 7:45 a.m. at his residence.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, Oct. 19, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield. Funeral services will follow, beginning at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be held at Wares Grove Cemetery near Butler.

Mr. Trader was born Sept. 14, 1955, in Vallejo, CA, to Rex Loren and Freida Marie (Mitchell) Trader. He married Donna Elaine Furness on Aug. 18, 1974, at Witt United Methodist Church, and she survives.

He graduated from Litchfield High School with the class of 1973. During his career, he was employed for 35 years as director of management information systems with Schutt Sports Group.

Mr. Trader was a member of Hillsboro United Methodist Church. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, enjoyed barbequing and cooking out, traveling and taking his wife on vacations. He enjoyed fishing with his sons and grandchildren and enjoyed being a grandpa.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two sons, Eric (Melissa) Trader and Brandon (Angelica) Trader, both of Hillsboro; six grandchildren, Aliyah, Owen, Kinsley, Emersyn, Claire and Brecken Trader, all of Hillsboro; and four sisters, Susan Acree of Witt, Tina Trader of Hillsboro, Rosemary (Ron Bleyer) Trader and Shirley (Mike) Hamby, both of Litchfield.

Mr. Trader was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Christine Fosnock.
