Members of the Raymond Village Board met for their regular monthly meeting on Monday evening, Nov. 16, at the village hall.
Those in attendance were Mayor Denny Held, Trustees Bruce Poggenpohl, Greg Bernhardt and Bill Krager, as well as Treasurer Sally Broaddus and Jerry Hefley.
Following the approval of last month’s minutes and finances, the board heard from Jerry Hefley on behalf of the Division #56 Hazardous Material Response Team. Hefley asked if the board would consider allowing his team to park a Hazmat trailer at the Greenwalt building until it can return to its usual parking spot at the Extension Office. Board members approved his request as there is adequate security for the trailer and it will not impede village business.
In water and sewer, the hydrant on the old well house property will be turned off soon, and they will begin busting the concrete to clean up the area for the new well building. The board wishes to remind the public that the village burn pile is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday, and is closed on the weekend. Items that will be accepted are personal yard waste, including small limbs (under 4 ft.), leaves and grass clippings. Plastic bags are prohibited.
A motion was then made by Trustee Krager and was seconded by Trustee Poggepohl to adjourn the meeting.
