Raymond Heye Johnson, 94, of Litchfield, died at 7:12 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.

Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 4, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield with the Rev. Fred Kraemer officiating. Burial will be in Elm Lawn Cemetery in Litchfield. Visitation will at 10 a.m. Friday until the time of service at Zion Lutheran Church. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Johnson was born on Jan. 18, 1928, in Gillespie, a son of Harry H. and Grace F. (Hendricks) Johnson. He was a graduate of Gillespie High School and a lifelong grain farmer. He was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He married Erma Lou Nobbe on Sept. 3, 1950, at Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield and she preceded him in death on Dec. 11, 2020. 

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Litchfield, where he enjoyed participating in the Lutheran Men’s League.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Christy Johnson of Litchfield; two grandchildren, Angela Johnson of Springfield and Corey (Angie) Johnson of Litchfield; one great-granddaughter, Blair Johnson of Litchfield; and two sisters, Elfrieda (Jack) Wilson of Gillespie, and Laura Hilyard of Kennesaw, GA.

In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Johnson was preceded in death by a son, Robert “B.J.” Johnson; and a brother, Frank Johnson.
