Phyllis Millburg, 77, of Taylorville, died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2021, at Taylorville Care Center.
Friends and family will be received Wednesday, Dec. 1, from 10 to 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville. A funeral mass will follow at 11 a.m. in the church. Burial will be at St. Maurice Catholic Cemetery in Morrisonville.
Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Millburg was born May 14, 1944 in Edinburg, the daughter of Wendel and Mary Margaret (Abel) Minix.
She was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Taylorville and the Christian County Seniors. She had served as a Pawnee Village trustee in Pawnee and worked as an administrative assistant for Memorial Hospital and later at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hillsboro.
Mrs. Millburg is survived by her husband, Ted F. Millburg; sons Ted (wife Jill) Millburg, Jr. of Clinton, Doug (wife Becky) Millburg of Auburn, Mike Millburg of Morrisonville, Bill (wife Teresa) Millburg of Taylorville; 15 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Maryann Smith of Taylorville, Beverly Mika of Indianapolis, IN, and May (husband Jim) Meredith of Chatham, Clara Dunham of Springfield; and brother Vernon (wife Donna) Minix of Taylorville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Lazora Kay Minix.
