Paulette M. Gabriel, 72, of Litchfield, formerly of Hillsboro, died at 8:05 a.m., Friday, Aug. 9, 2024, at Litchfield Health and Rehab in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Aug. 15, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Witt. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 16, at 11 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Witt. Pastor Jay Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Nokomis Cemetery in Nokomis at a later date.
Ms. Gabriel was born on Oct. 12, 1951, in St. Louis, MO, to the late Harold and Hazel (Snyder) Furness. She was a graduate of Witt High School in Witt and was retired from the Montgomery County Circuit Clerk Office in Hillsboro. She married William “Bill” Gabriel at the United Methodist Church in Witt and he preceded her in death.
Ms. Gabriel was a member of the United Methodist Church in Witt and had lived in Witt, Springfield and Hillsboro during her lifetime.
Ms. Gabriel is survived by her three children, Stacey Gabriel of Centralia, Kent Gabriel of St Louis, MO, and Dane Gabriel of Centralia; three siblings, Denise (husband, Tom) Kistner of Witt, Darla (husband, Randy) McFarlin of Hillsboro and Kirby (wife, Beth) Furness of Irving; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the United Methodist Church in Witt or American Diabetes Association.
