Paul Adolph Mueller, Jr., 56, of Hillsboro, died on Saturday, Oct. 26, 2024, at 10:43 p.m., at Hillsboro Health in Hillsboro.
A private burial has been arranged at Wares Grove Cemetery in rural Butler and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Paul Adolph Mueller Jr. was born on Sept. 10, 1968, in Joliet, to the late Paul A. Mueller Sr. and Natalie Jo (Huffman) Mueller. Mr. Mueller graduated from Lockport Township High School in Lockport and pursued a career at Hayes Abrasives in Hillsboro, where he dedicated 25 years to being a machine operator. Throughout his life, Mr. Mueller had resided in Joliet, Trenton and Hillsboro.
Mr. Mueller was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Schram City. He enjoyed gardening and expressing his inner artistic side whenever he had a chance, throwing a good game of horseshoes and anything rock-n-roll. Mr. Mueller was an avid Led Zeppelin fan and if he was ever near a radio, one could count on K-SHE 95 being played. He was very proud to let anyone know that during his lifetime, he had attended 84 concerts.
Mr. Mueller married Marie “Missy” Stewart on Sept. 9, 2011, and they were happily married for seven years before her death on Dec. 12, 2018.
Mr. Mueller is survived by his children, Nathan A. (wife, Mariah) Mueller of Pana and Genevieve K. Mueller of Hillsboro; step-children, Anthony Stewart and Hope Stewart; two step-grandchildren; brothers, Edgar (wife, Shawnda) Mueller of Springfield and Raymond (wife, Lynn) Mueller of Greenville; aunts Janice Albright and Carla Huffman; and uncles Frank Huffman, David Huffman and James Huffman; and his two beloved cats, Jo and Fin.
He was preceded by his parents and wife.
