Pamela Conteras, 59, of Nokomis, died Thursday, April 29, 2021, at 11:35 a.m. at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 4, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Stiehl-Dawson Funeral Home in Nokomis. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. in Woodside Cemetery in rural Irving.
Mrs. Conteras was born May 1, 1961,the daughter of Michael and Vivian (Higginbotham) McElroy. She married Thomas Conteras, and they divorced.
She loved horses and collected nickel and gems. She would give the shirt off her back to anyone in need. She could make friends wherever she went.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her children, Devon (Leann) Coots of Nokomis, Jamie Phelps of Valsalia, CA, Shari Conteras, Kay Conteras and Kenny Conteras, all of Pomona, CA; grandchildren, Paige, Payton, Kiana and Kira; siblings, Dennis McElroy and Sandra Busche, both of Nokomis, and Teri Williams and Brian McElroy, both of California; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael and brother, Daniel.
Memorials may be made to the Montgomery County Cancer Association (MCCA).
