It was time to wrap things up at the Crossroads Racing Series and the Lentz, Duff and Cruthis racing teams were there in full force on Oct. 31, for round eight of the series at Rapers Farm in Bloomfield, IN.
Case Cruthis had himself a day in the Intermediate division as he won the Four Stroke class as the only rider to complete five laps. Cruthis also finished 13th overall in Intermediate bikes.
Travis Lentz also had some success in the Intermediate division as he opted for a different bike and took first in the Trailrider class. Lentz and riding buddy Cooper Duff of Donnellson also ran the 65cc class in Youth bikes and finished third and fifth respectively. Overall, Lentz would finish 11th in Youth bikes, while Duff was 19th.
Travis’ older brother, Tyler Lentz, ran in the Supermini class at Bloomfield and finished sixth in his class and 18th overall.
In the Pee Wee division, Gideon Cruthis was the picture of perseverance as he pushed his bike across the finish line after it seized up and wouldn’t start near the end of the race. Cruthis would finish second in the Auto Inject class and 20th overall in the Pee Wee division.
The 2020 championship banquet for the Crossroads Series is set for Jan. 16, 2021, at the Putnam County 4-H Fairgrounds in Greencastle, IN.
