Nancy Flatt Busen, 68, of Sebastian, FL, formerly of Springfield, died suddenly at home after a brief illness on Sunday, Sept. 11, 2022.

Private funeral services will be held. Millennium Cremation Service in Sebastian, FL is assisting the family.

Mrs. Busen was born June 3, 1954, to Truman and Mary (Pefferle) Flatt. She married Monte Busen, and he survives.

She was an avid hunter. She hunted out all the best sweet corn, watermelon and mushroom patches. She dug for diamonds in Arkansas and panned for gold in the mountain streams of Colorado.

Mrs. Busen will be missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her husband of 49 years and six months, she is survived by her daughter, Jessica (Charlie) Golitko of Morrisonville; grandchildren, Dominic and Margaret; brothers, Steven (Dorothy), Chris (Leigh) and Phillip (Becky), all of Springfield; sisters, Sally (Riley) Lane of Englewood, FL, and Janet Cole of Tampa, FL; brother-in-law, Jerry Busen of Mt. Sterling; sisters-in-law, Janet (Gary) Martin of Mt. Sterling, Barb (Richard) Childers of Versailles, Becky (Matt) Long of Camp Point and Michelle (Ron) Busen of Nashville, TN; and three very special honorary sisters, Joyce (Don) Catron of Auburn, Kim (Bruce) Bradbury of Springfield and Sherry Mize of Arlington, TX.

Mrs. Busen was preceded in death by her parents; father and mother-in-law, James A. and Wanda (Mitchell) Busen; and beloved son, George L.
