Muryl E. Haines, Jr., 54, of Irving, formerly of Pana, died on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at 1:18 p.m. at Memorial Hospital in Springfield.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 26, beginning at 5 p.m. at Open Arms Fellowship Church in Irving with Pastor Randy White officiating. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mr. Haines was born May 21, 1967, in Chicago, to Muryl E. Sr. and Charlotte (Allen) Haines. He married Shirley Stinson on July 2, 1996, and she survives.
During his career, he served as a self-employed contractor. He was a member of Open Arms Fellowship Church in Irving.
Mr. Haines is survived by his father and stepmother, Muryl E. and Juanita Haines of Canton; two grandchildren, Matthew and Garrett Haines of Taylor Springs; siblings, Cathy (Stanley) Bilyeu, Herb (companion Gail) Haines, Mark Haines, Tim Haines, all of Pana, Kevin Haines of Irving, Susan Haines and Donny (Sheila) Haines, both of Tennessee; brother-in-law, David (Tonya) Stinson of Bachtown; and 24 nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother; sons, Cody Haines in 2019 and Muryl E. Haines III in infancy; mother-in-law, Beverly Stinson Klunk; and brother, Todd Haines.
