Matthew Aaron Sprehe, Sr., 37, of Litchfield, formerly of Mascoutah, died on Monday, June 6, 2022, at HSHS St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 12, from 1 to 3 p.m. at St. John’s United Church of Christ, 55 W. Church at North First, Mascoutah. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 3 p.m. at the church. Burial of cremains will take place at Gilead Cemetery in Centralia. Moll Funeral Home in Mascoutah is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sprehe was born Nov. 3, 1984, in Belleville, to Mark and Belinda Sprehe.
He was baptized at Zion Lutheran Church in Belleville on Nov. 23, 1984, and was confirmed in the faith at Bethel United Church of Christ near Florissant, MO.
Mr. Sprehe is survived by his children, Matthew Jr., Kalista, Conner, Bailey, Adalyn, Sylvia, Douglas and Caroline; parents, Belinda and Hugh Fitz; brothers, Andy (Jennifer) Sprehe, Jeremy (Gina) Sprehe, Paul (Chris) Fitz and Joel Fitz; grandmothers, Caroline Sprehe and Peggy Edmonson; and many other loved ones.
He was preceded in death by his father; and grandfather, Jerry Edmonson.
