Mary Eva (Riley) Myers, 101, of Hillsboro, formerly of Springfield, died on Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Hillsboro Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
No services are planned at this time. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is assisting the family.
Mrs. Myers was born Nov. 21, 1920, in Springfield, to Howard and Jane Elizabeth Riley. She married Harold Myers, and he preceded her in death in 1989.
During her career, she worked at Sangamo Electric in Springfield and for the state of Illinois in the Department of Revenue.
Mrs. Myers was of the Baptist faith and was a member of the TRN Club of Lake Springfield. She enjoyed Bingo and bowling.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Monroe of Springfield and Mary Rita Van Dyke of Virginia Beach, VA; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Bessie Edmonston; son, Ted Myers; and seven siblings.
