Mary B. Jones, 85, formerly of Benld, died on Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021, at Heritage Health: Therapy and Senior Care in Staunton.
No public services are planned. Kravanya Funeral Home in Benld assisted the family.
Ms. Jones was born Dec. 19, 1935, in Piasa, to Dewey and Margaret Whitlock.
During her career, she served as a nurses aid, eventually retiring from St. Francis Hospital in Litchfield.
Ms. Jones is survived by her children, Virginia Jones-Anderson, Edward Jones, both of Staunton, and Jackie (John) Balzraine of Benld; grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Sebastian of Webster Groves, MO, Neil Balzraine and Jill (J.O.) Kelly, both of Gillespie; great-grandchildren, Ethan Sebastian, Isabelle Balzraine, Olivia Kelly, Pearl Kelly and Tyler Deets; and sister-in-law, Delores Whitlock of Bethalto.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Harold Whitlock; and sister, Betty Menchak.
