Marilynn Lavonne Seelbach, 100, of Waggoner, died on Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, at Lewis Memorial Christian Village in Springfield.

No services are planned at this time. Davis-Anderson Funeral Homes is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mrs. Seelbach was born  on Aug. 15, 1922, in Springfield, a daughter of Frank Christopher and Mary (Brown) Welge. She married Fabian Jerome Seelbach on July 13, 1943, in Springfield.

Mrs. Seelbach graduated from Waggoner High School with the class of 1939, and the Illinois School of Business in Springfield. She was a homemaker and had worked for the State of Illinois in the Department of Rehabilitation. Mrs. Seelbach could also be found on the farm helping out where she was needed. She was a faithful member St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Farmersville where she was active in the Altar Society.  In her spare time, she loved to garden, sew, and can all of her produce from the garden.

Mrs. Seelbach is survived by her children, Gene (Bonnie) Seelbach of Springfield, Ginger Bensch of Houston, TX, Gary (Michele) Seelbach of Springfield, Gale (Keith) Harms of Waggoner, Gwen Jennings of Bellingham, WA, Gloria Gietl of Bellingham, WA, Geoff (Se Dai) Seelbach of San Jose, CA, and Geri (Roger) Adams of Anacortes, WA; 23 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jenna Darr Seelbach; great-grandchildren, Warren and Emma Samson; brothers, Kenneth and Harlan Welge; and sisters, Helen Welge and Dolores Parr.
