Marilyn Sue (Lehnen) Taylor, 74, of Irving, passed away on Friday, Sept. 10, 2021 at 10:40 a.m. at Hillsboro Area Hospital. 

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, Sept.17, 2021 from 4-6 p.m. at Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

She was born on August 9, 1947 in Hillsboro to the late Albert F. and Frances (Niehaus) Lehnen. She graduated from Hillsboro High School, class of 1965. She married Floyd “Tuffy” Taylor on Sept. 4, 1965 in Irving; he preceded on March 30, 2021. 

Mrs. Taylor loved spending time with her grandchildren and family; she enjoyed crafting and sewing, pickers markets, yard sales, and auctions. She had lived in Irving throughout her entire life.

She is survived by her son, Tim (wife Angie) Taylor of Witt; granddaughters, Kaitlin (husband Corbin) Govaia of Witt and Ashlin Taylor of Witt; great-granddaughters, Jaelyn Murray, Josselyn Murray, and Jackelynn Govaia; and her siblings, Nancy Merriman of Hillsboro and half-brother, Dwight Niehaus of Nokomis. 

 In addition to her husband, Mrs. Taylor was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Gary Lehnen.
