It was NAPA Night at Tri-City Speedway on Friday, July 17, and Nathan Lynch did one of his sponsors proud with a top ten finish in Granite City.
Lynch, who carries a McKay NAPA decal on the rear quarter panel of his 14N machine, ran second in his heat race in the B Modified division, finishing in the runner-up spot to Tommie Seets, Jr. of Brighton. In the feature, Lynch ran well in the $1,000 to win event, placing tenth out of 22 cars.
The following night, it was Nathan’s brothers, Brady and Evan, who were on the track at Macon Speedway, along with fellow Hillsboro racer Kevin Rench and Anton Loskot of Nokomis.
Both Rench and Evan Lynch would take top ten finishes in the 15-car B Modified race, with Rench placing ninth and Lynch one spot back in tenth. In their heat races, Lynch was sixth in Heat 1, while Rench was fourth in Heat 2.
Brady Lynch would finish eighth overall in the Pro Late Model class. Lynch started fifth in that race after taking third in his heat race.
Loskot would run in the Street Stock Division and was fifth in his heat race. In the 20-car feature, the Nokomis racer would finish 14th overall.
Another member of the Lynch Motorsports family, Brayton Lynch of Springfield, would also be in Macon with the Midwest Open Wheel Asssociation 410 Winged Sprints. Despite some mechanical issues, Lynch would finish 19th in the 23-car field that featured racers from Illinois, Missouri and Tennessee.
The night before, Lynch finished tenth in MOWA action at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln.
