Lisa C. Menghini, 62

Lisa Caye Menghini, 62, of Hillsboro, died  on Monday, Jan. 3, 2022 at 6:15 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. 

A private memorial service and burial will be held at Green Hill Cemetery in Van Burensburg. Cremation rites were accorded earlier. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Menghini was born on Dec. 13, 1959 in Hillsboro to the late Dennis “Denny Moe” Seaton and Janielle Ann (Frkovich) Seaton. She was a 1978 graduate of Hillsboro High School. She worked in the office at The Journal-News in Hillsboro after spending many years at Lee’s Tire Mart in Hillsboro. 

She married Ronald Menghini on June 11, 1988 at the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro, and he survives. 

She lived in Schram City, Taylor Springs, and Hillsboro during her lifetime. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Hillsboro. She loved spending time with her group of friends that called themselves the Sea Hags. She loved to read, cross stitch, go to the movies, and was an avid LA Dodgers fan. She loved spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter.

Mrs. Menghini is survived by her husband, Ronald; her children, Benjamin (wife Blakeley) Menghini of De Pere, WI, and Denee (husband Benjamin) Bowers of St. Louis, MO; one granddaughter, Riley Joy Bowers; and two siblings, Mark Seaton of Hillsboro, and Kelli (husband Russ) Jones of Hillsboro.

Memorials may be given to the Hillsboro Library or the Montgomery County Cancer Association (MCCA).
