Linda Catherine Dunlevy, 59, of Butler, died on Thursday, Dec. 3, 2020, at 10:45 a.m. at her home with family by her side.

A prayer service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 8, beginning at 3:30 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield, 1345 N. 6th St. Visitation will follow, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the church. Funeral Mass will be conducted Wednesday, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m. at the church with Father Manuel P. Cuizon officiating. Burial will be held in McKinnie Cemetery in Springfield. Guidelines set forth by the CDC will be followed. Bisch and Son Funeral Home in Springfield is assisting the family.

Mrs. Dunlevy was born March 13, 1961, in Springfield, to Robert L. and Marilyn (Norris) Brown. She married Steve Dunlevy on May 2, 1981, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield, and he survives.

She was a licensed cosmetologist and hair stylist at A Believers Hair Design for many years. She and her husband then became owners and operators of Rainmaker Campground in Butler, fulfilling a lifelong dream. They would make their home there.

Mrs. Dunlevy was a memer of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Springfield. She loved the outdoors and all animals. She also found great joy in operating the campground with her husband. 

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Michelle (Kenny) Johnson of Middletown, and Lindsay Dunlevy and Nick Dunlevy, both of Raymond; grandchildren, Adalynn and Eli Johnson; brother, Richard (Margie) Brown of Pleasant Plains; sisters, Becky Brown of Springfield and Julie (Bob) Varndell of Mahomet; stepmother, Maggie Brown of Decatur; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mrs. Dunlevy was preceded in death by her parents; and brother, Stephen Brown.
