Walshville racer Travis Lentz picked up two victories in three races in the Indiana-based IXCR Cross Country Series to help keep him atop the overall points leader board in the 65cc class.
At Mission Impossible in Attica, IN, on Aug. 29, Lentz was the only racer in the 65cc class to complete six laps, doing so in 1:08:19, good enough for 12th overall in youth bikes.
He’d follow that performance up with another solid run at Hunt Club in Madison, IN, on Sept. 19. Lentz ran a time of 1:13:28 to take first in the 65cc class and 17th overall.
The only race he didn’t finish first at, the John Vincent in Crossplains, IN on Oct. 3, Lentz finished second. He ran four laps in 1:04:03 to finish two seconds behind Hunter Carey of Aurora, IN.
Lentz is currently first in the 65cc class in the IXCR overall standings with 185 points, five more than Carey, who sits in second.
The final two rounds of the IXCR Cross Country Series are on Oct. 16-17, in Canaan, IN, and on Nov. 6-7, in Rockville, IN.
Walshville's Travis Lentz shows off his hardware after winning round nine of the IXCR Cross Country Series in Madison, IN, on Sept. 19. Lentz also won round 10 of the series and currently sits first in the points.
