Four young Montgomery County racers were in Indiana once again as Gideon Cruthis, Case Cruthis, Travis Lentz and Tyler Lentz competed in the fifth round of the Crossroads Racing Series at the Bar P Ranch in Springville, IN.
Gideon Cruthis, of Panama, finished third in the Auto Inject class and was 18th overall in the Pee Wee Bike division. Cruthis is 32nd overall in the Pee Wee Bike season standings, but is third in the Auto Inject season standings, despite only racing two of the five races.
Case Cruthis scored a top three finish in the 4-Stroke class and was 16th overall in the Intermediate division. The young Panama native is currently third in the 4-stroke class and fifth in the 85cc beginner class (which he ran in his first Crossroads Racing Series race). Overall, Cruthis is 12th in the Intermediate division with 72 points.
Brothers Travis and Tyler Lentz of Walshville both ran in the Youth Bikes division, with Travis placing second in the 65cc class and Tyler placing ninth in Supermini. Overall, Travis finished ninth at Bar P in the Youth Bikes, while Tyler was 19th.
In the season standings, Travis is currently leading the 65cc class with 101 points, while Tyler is fourth in Supermini with 47 points. In the overall Youth Bike standings, Travis is third with 148 points, while Tyler is 40th with 27.
