Lee Raymond “Banger” Lange, 64, of Raymond, died on Thursday, Jan. 14, 2021, at 5:15 p.m. at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
Funeral services will be held at a later date. Hough Funeral Home in Raymond is assisting the family.
Mr. Lange was born on Feb. 8, 1956, in Litchfield, to Arthur W. “Gracie” and Martha Joan (Whelan) Lange.
During his career, he worked for the village of Raymond.
Mr. Lange was an avid Cardinal and Nascar fan. He was proud of his hometown and enjoyed time with family and his many friends. He loved being part of the annual Independence Day celebration as it was his job to be the railroad crossing guard during the parade and various activities.
He is survived by his two sisters, Mary Ann (husband Tom) Walz of Raymond and Rosemary Nation of Kincaid.
Mr. Lange was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe Lange; and nephew, Jason Lange.
