The Nokomis High School softball team will host its first annual Slide Into Summer softball camp on June 26-27 for players entering second through ninth grades.
With instruction from the Lady Redskin coaching staff and players, the camp will be covering all aspects of the game of softball and is a great opportunity for those wanting to advance their game.
The camp will run from 8 to 10 a.m. for second through fifth graders, with a portion specifically for pitchers and catchers from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Sixth through ninth graders will meet from noon to 2 p.m., with the pitchers and catchers working from 2 to 3 p.m. The cost is $50 for the regular session and $25 for the pitchers and catchers portion. The cost includes a T-shirt from the camp, which is sponsored by Country Financial agent Nathan Clementz. Additional T-shirts are also available for $15.
