Kyle Louis Lyn Burnett, 34, of Taylorville, died at 8:45 p.m. on Sunday, June 5, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, June 14, at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. Rev. James Hayes, pastor of St. James Baptist Church in Hillsboro, will officiate. Bass Patton Dean Funeral Home of Hillsboro is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Burnett was born on Sept. 22, 1987, in Hillsboro, to Richard “Dick” Charles Burnett and Linda Sue (Boerckel) Burnett. He was a 2006 graduate of Hillsboro High School and worked in an assembly plant in Taylorville. Mr. Burnett loved to fish, go for bike rides and loved being outdoors. He was an animal lover. He was a tissue and organ donor to give life to many others.
Mr. Burnett is survived by his brother, Michael Burnett of Hillsboro.
He was preceded in death by his parents; maternal grandparents, Clarence and Dorothy Boerckel; and paternal grandparents, Merrell and Anna May Burnett.
