Kenneth R. Tosetti, 86, of Nokomis, died Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Stiehl Dawson Funeral Home from 6 until 8 p.m. Funeral services will held be on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at St. Louis Catholic Church, located at 311 S. Elm in Nokomis at 11 a.m. with Father Michael Meinhart officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Nokomis.
Mr. Tosetti was born on July 18, 1938, in Pana, to Paul and Theresa (Dalpiaz) Tosetti. He attended St. Louis Catholic School and graduated from Nokomis High School with the class of 1956. Following graduation, Mr. Tosetti graduated from Southern Illinois University – Carbondale in 1962. On Oct. 30, 1961, he enlisted in the U.S. Army, proudly serving as a medical specialist.
Mr. Tosetti and Maxine Bradley were married on Feb. 28, 1964, at the St. Louis Catholic Church and she preceded him in death on May 19, 2011.
He was proudly employed for 35 years at Caterpillar in Decatur as director of supplier quality. Some of Mr. Tosetti’s favorite pastimes were walking, riding his bicycle, mowing the yard and riding his Honda Goldwing. He was very proud that he built his and his wife’s home.
Mr. Tosetti is survived by his son, Todd (Karrie) Tosetti of Nokomis and daughters, Tina (Mike) Keefe of Chandler, AZ, and Stacey Tosetti, also of Chandler, AZ; granddaughters, Isabella and Natalia Menin; and his sister, Linda (Gary) Martin of Scottsdale, AZ; in addition to many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, Maxine; and his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Tosetti.
