Karen A. Davidson, 83, of Springfield, died on Friday, Sept. 16, 2022, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Sept. 25, from 3 to 5 p.m. at Bisch Funeral Home West in Springfield, 2931 S. Koke Mill Rd. A memorial service will follow, beginning at 5 p.m. at the funeral home. Per her wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Inurnment will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield at a later date.

Mrs. Davidson was born Aug. 8, 1939, in Litchfield, to August and Mary (Howard) Benassi. She married Robert “Bob” Davidson on Oct. 15, 1960, in Springfield, and he survives.

She started working as an administrative secretary for the Illinois State Bar Association at the age of 18 and worked there for 45 years.

Mrs. Davidson was active in Beta Sigma Phi Sorority Group for over 40 years. She enjoyed playing slot machines, traveling with Bob and car racing.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Denise (husband Marty) Jeter of Springfield; grandson, Michael (wife Hanna) Jeter; granddaughter, Rebecca Jeter; brother, Lou (wife Patricia) Benassi of Peoria; three nephews, August (wife Melissa) Benassi, Alexander (wife Nicole) Benassi and Randy Hall; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

Mrs. Davidson was preceded in death by her parents.
