Josephine M. Kalaskie, 91, of Benld, died at 8:22 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024, at her residence.
A celebration of life may be held at a later date. Kravanya Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Kalaskie was born Oct. 26, 1933, in Staunton, to Louis and Christine (Anton) Fones. She married Marvin L. Kalaskie, and he preceded her in death on Aug. 20, 1992.
Mrs. Kalaskie loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed crossword puzzles.
Mrs. Kalaskie is survived by her children, Linda (Jerry) Case of Gillespie, Danny (companion, Vanessa) Vesper of Staunton and Tina (Mitchell) Robbins of Hillsboro; grandchildren, Stacie Souza, Sarah Schweppe, Ashley Vesper Westerhold, Abby Vesper and Ivyanna Robbins; great-grandchildren, Owen Schweppe, Kendall Schweppe, Nolan Souza, Griffin Souza, D.J. Brown, Dannika Evans, Joey Evans and Rian Schoeneweis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; spouse; brothers, Raymond Fones and Wilbert “Bud” Fones; and sisters, Evelyn Swain, Dolores Tester and Viola Carter.
