Joseph Terry Lanthrum, 72, of Elburn, died quietly at home in the early morning hours of Monday, April 18, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family.

Private family services have been held, and a gathering of extended family and friends is planned for 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at the south pavilion of the Elburn Lions Club to share love, support, and memories of Terry.  Those who need directions, or who cannot attend but would like to share stories, photos, or thoughts with those gathered may pass them along to either dennislanthrum@aol.com or a.lanthrum@gmail.com.  Conley Funeral Home in Elburn is assisting the family with arrangements.

Mr. Lanthrum was born on Sept. 3, 1949, in Hillsboro, to proud and loving parents, Patrick and Victoria Lanthrum.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Linda Lanthrum; two sons, Nathan Patrick (Dana Fortunato) Lanthrum and Andrew Joseph (Allison) Lanthrum; two grandchildren, Joseph Kenneth Lanthrum and Ellis Anderson Lanthrum; two brothers, Mike Lanthrum and Denny Lanthrum; one brother-in-law, Bob Fuehne; many nieces, nephews and a family of friends from across the countryside.

He preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Patricia “Patsy” Fuehne.
