Joseph Anthony Geninatti, 74, of Litchfield, died on Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2022, at 4:45 a.m. at his residence.
Visitation will be held Sunday, Oct. 30, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Faith Christian Fellowship in Litchfield. A memorial service will follow, from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at the church with the Rev. Albert Chaney officiating. Dinner will follow the services at Litchfield VFW Post 3912. Plummer Funeral Home in Litchfield is assisting the family.
Mr. Geninatti was born April 10, 1948, in Carlinville, to Arthur Eugene and Dorothy Elizabeth Alma (Rose) Geninatti. He married Diana Budd, and they later divorced. He then married Patricia Ann (Busby) Buffington in 1996, and she survives.
He was employed by Litchfield Walmart #213 for 35 years in maintenance.
Mr. Geninatti was a member of Faith Christian Fellowship in Litchfield. He enjoyed camping, fishing and his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his stepson, Albert James Buffington of Litchfield; stepdaughter-in-law, Jodi White of Irving; brother, Freddie Geninatti of Livingston; two sisters, Rosa Wilmore of Alton and Anita Geninatti of St. Louis, MO; three grandchildren, Krystin (fiance Code Hale) Buffington, Bo Buffington and Brooke Buffington; two great-grandchildren, Connor Dever and Abby Buffington; and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Geninatti was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John Geninatti and Art Geninatti.
