John W. “Bill” Eller, 75, of Nokomis, died at 7:10 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022, at Nokomis Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Nokomis.
Services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Sutton Funeral Home of Nokomis is assisting the family with arrangements.
Mr. Eller was born on Oct. 16, 1946, in Vandalia, the son of Roy Raymond Eller, Sr., and Virginia (Masters) Eller. He worked as a delivery driver for Napa Auto Parts in Jacksonville. Mr. Eller retired from the United States Army after 16 years serving in the Classified Special Operations Unit. He loved visiting and spending time with his family.
Mr. Eller is survived by his children, Christopher Eller of Jacksonville and Michelle Richardson of Nokomis; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; siblings, Roy Raymond (Brenda) Eller, Jr., of Litchfield, Carol Wright of Nokomis and Penny (Jim) Hood of Shelbyville; several nieces; nephews and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and grandparents.
