Jody Louise (‘nee Cartwright) Weaver, 62, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, MO, surrounded by her loved ones.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Hough and Sons Funeral Home in Hillsboro is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Weaver was born on Dec. 25, 1962, in Litchfield, to her parents Jimmy and Doris (Compton) Cartwright of Walshville. She married Michael Weaver on Feb. 14, 2003, in Hillsboro and he survives her.
Her passion in life was her dogs. She was a beloved part of the American Kennel Club (AKC) for many decades. She placed in several shows and was honored to have her friend, Sheila Giordano, by her side to show their dogs together.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Weaver is survived by her son, Jimmy Hicks, of Breese; granddaughter, Ramie (Dakota) White of Gillespie; and three great-grandchildren, Jordan Hope Ward, Casey Jane White and Dakota White Jr.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, Justin Lee Hicks, who passed in 2002.
