Jerome “Jerry” Wesley Mollet, 74, of Ripon, WI, died Monday, March 29, 2021, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee, WI.

Visitation will be held Monday, April 5, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home in Ripon, WI. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Deike officiating. Funeral services will be livestreamed at www.facebook.com/butzinmarchant/live/. Interment will follow in Bethel Reeds Corners Cemetery in Metomen, WI.

Mr. Mollet was born Oct. 12, 1946, in Highland, the son of Henry and Fern Mary (Landolt) Mollet. He married Mary “Joan” Martin in 1967, in Sorento, and she survives.

A graduate of Greenville High School, he went on to further his education at the University of Illinois. He worked at Green Giant in Belvidere, then transferred to their plant in Ripon, WI, in 1974. He retired from Seneca Foods in 2016. 

He was an avid gardener and a giant pumpkin grower. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching westerns and reading.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Jean (Tom) Siewert, Judy (Doug) Rehm, Jason (Teresa) Mollet and Janean (Jon) Van Beckum; two grandchildren, Ben Rehm and Cassie Van Beckum; a step-granddaughter, Shelby (Sam) Braatz; one sister, Wilma Holcmann of Sorento; two brothers, Fritz (Tillie) Mollet of Salem, IN, and Mike (Janice) Mollet of Sorento; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
